The College of Georgia Press has acquired NewSouth Books, which relies in Montgomery, Ala., and is thought for its books on Southern tradition and historical past, notably civil and human rights. Suzanne La Rosa, the writer, will be a part of the Georgia press on July 1 and can publish eight to 12 titles yearly beneath the NewSouth imprint at UGA Press. Randall Williams, who has served as editor in chief, will proceed to edit chosen titles and suggest works for acquisition.
